Dr. Lyftogt has been developing and using this method to treat pain from injuries and various other pain conditions over the last decade with excellent results. Dextrose injections to treat chronic pain have been used for many years in traditional prolotherapy because it promotes healing in connective tissues such as ligaments and tendons.
